There could not be a more appropriate name for the HMS Endeavour. Commanded by Lieutenant James Cook, the Endeavour was a British Royal Navy ship that embarked on a voyage of discovery from 1768 to 1771. It became the first ship to reach the East Coast of Australia in April 1770.
